I have always been keen on scarves, but since my recent visit to Paris I have been frequenting the scarf look more than usual. I bought a bunch before my trip and love the way they add character and that extra something to my look. I would also like to point out these amazing high waisted wide leg pants. They have both the makings of my little fashion heart; stripes & a high waist. I tucked a black cami to match my shoes, and paired a blue and white scarf to match the pants. One of my favourite looks of the summer so far!

It has always been a dream of mine to go to New York City in the fall for my birthday, and for me this year that came true! I am so blessed to have such an amazing best friend who surprised me with the trip which couldn’t have come at a better time, considering I really needed a reason to get away for a little bit. I am excited to share with you guys some pictures from the trip, including what I wore while roaming around my favourite city.

It felt really good to leave everything behind, even just for a few days. It is important to clear your head, take time for yourself and kind of discover who you are, what you want and where you are headed. Life can get pretty crazy and rough, so if it is going to take a quick weekend away to help sort yourself out, do it. Everyone needs a break sometimes.

One thing I love to embody is the borrowed-from-the-boys look. I am super into the cigarette pant + oxfords look, especially when I throw a trench coat over top which really plays with aspects of masculine and feminine style. Nowadays that men and women shop in each others sections anyhow makes me even more excited to play in the mens section and work it into stuff I already have.

Hi guys! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted a look (I suck), but now that fall is arriving, I will definitely be sure to post a lot more. Fall is my favourite season to dress for, so stay tuned for how I style it.

I really wanted to share with you guys these killer Dolce & Gabbana boots for fall. We just got them in at Saks and I could not wait to put them on. Make sure to pop in to Saks at Sherway Gardens for all your fall desires. We have received a lot of amazing styles to help you transition into the new season and keep you looking fresh for fall!

One of my favourite things to do with a look is to play with tones. Mixing neutrals with a touch of colour tends to intimidate people but realistically, playing with tones is an infallible way of creating a really unique or cool look. For me, navy is my black, and I never go wrong with a navy+neutral or navy+color combo.

See you all at Saks!

Hey y’all- Just wanted to throw in a quick post about my outfit this weekend. I went to a really cool spot on Queen Street called Carbon Bar, known for their BBQ’d meaty goodness. Probably not the best outfit considering how much I ate but I handled it!

Day 1 of #WMCFW opened with Mikhael Kale who is the 2015 CAFA winner for womenswear designer of the year and for damn good reason. His collection for S/S was so futuristic and absolutely breathtaking. It is conceptual and the way he balances elements such as beading, embellishments and cutouts is truly appeasing to the eye. The 3D floral coats were definitely one of my favourites, as well as the stunning beaded, asymmetrical, plunge dress that I would kill to have in my collection.

Sid Neigum has been and continues to be my favourite Canadian designer. I love that he debuts his collections on Day 1, it is the best start to fashion week for me. Minimal, modern and modular, this collection is my dream. Rich fabrics, abstract designs and shapely cutouts, he really knows how to play on the maximal of the absolute minimal, that to me is genius.

The Judith+Charles presentation on DAY 2 was the highlight of my day. I adored every single piece from cropped jackets, silky button downs and long vests, this collection is made for the sophisticated, classic, working woman.

The NARCES woman; glamorous, vibrant and confident. To own any NARCES piece means you are bold and anticipating you will be the best dressed person in the room. Delicate floral embellishments, cap sleeve gowns, lush lavender and lace, every NARCES collection completely adorns the audience and graces the runway.

 DAY 4

Malorie’s collections are simplistic and subtle, yet kicked up a notch this season as she paired with artist Bernadette Paets who created hand-painted images on some garments. I love Malorie’s collections for the neutral palettes, the knitting, and the sophisticated subtlety that comes with each piece.

Feminine, sensual, glamorous, elegant, detailed, sexy….this collection had all these makings and more. Stephen Caras embodies the epitome of the feminine silhouette and really knows how to make a woman feel confident and comfortable in her skin. Each piece is incredibly intricate, each cut perfectly measured and touches of vibrancy make this collection beyond lust-worthy.

There is a reason why Mikael D always closes Fashion Week. It is only right to end the week with a bang and he does just that, every time. Craftsmanship is the word for this collection and every one before it. There is no craftsman like Mikael D. This “Forbidden Paradise” collection was mesmerizing and had the audience in a trance. It was like everybody was completely taken in by the details, the allure, and the couture. Everything about this collection was spot on and I adored how all of the models wore the same coloured wigs. This collection was nothing short of radiance and celebrated everything that is beautiful about a woman’s silhouette & all that it can do.

Until next season,

Finally it was DAY 5 and #WMCFW was coming to a close. It was truly a week full of amazing emerging Canadian talent, along with previews, champagne, fashion illustrations, selfie stations, and of course, meeting new people in the industry and making connections. I think events like fashion week is so important especially in Toronto considering the fashion scene is so small. We are all trying to achieve the same goals and reach our own dreams that revolve around a common interest, fashion. These are the times to connect, meet new people, promote yourself and hope that something amazing will come from out. Be genuine, help others, and all your wishes & dreams will come true!

DAY 5 I went with an all grey look because I really wanted to maximize the spotlight on my shoes which were definitely the biggest hit that day.

Overall it was another amazing & eventful fashion week in Toronto and I cannot wait for March to see all of these new designers FW16 collections!
